Website Mockup
Uses of Website Mockups
A website mockup is a structural model of a website used to align visual design, user journeys and content architecture. Much like an architectural blueprint, a wireframe or mockup is an efficient way to create a professional prototype by perfecting the basic visual layout before adding details that may need to be updated or removed down the road.
As you refine your website mockup, you can even include user actions and navigation on the page. Use the Cacoo Website Mockup template to collaborate on projects with your team, test design ideas, hone in on specifics, and make sure everyone is on the same page before finalizing the product.
How to create your own Website Mockup
Define the goal of your wireframing process. What is the purpose of the website, and what elements do you need to include to convey this goal?
Now, open the Website Mockup in Cacoo. Identify the content placeholders you want to keep, and delete the rest.
Start personalizing the mockup. You can resize content boxes, add or rearrange shapes, and fill in real text for headers, menus, and navigation buttons.
If you’re wireframing more than one page, include as many or as few template pages as you need to visualize your idea. Then, personalize the other pages as well!
